Equine Dry & Water
Revolutionising the way we create the optimal equine.
A vital part of Equine Advancements approach is our awareness of the individual differences of each horse.
Every horse that enters our facility will have an individual response to conditioning, will be coming from individual and unique experiences and have vastly different histories.
Equine Advancement takes all of these factors into account and many more when deciding the program to suit your horse and the goals set.

- "The Equissage has benefited the ponies enormously. Ponies that previously had little muscle over their backs and hindquarters now look utterly different after sessions with the machine. They are moving freely which in turn it improving their performance on the ground, in terms of both speed and agility."
- "The Equissage machines have really helped the recovery of my horses. After a week of intense polo two of my best ponies tied up. The Equissage back pad and hand unit were used and they were back playing successfully in two days."
“Tendon injuries unfortunately come with performance horses, be it racing, eventing, showjumping or polo. These have traditionally taken a long time to respond and in the first cases of Spa use I saw, I couldn’t believe the rate of recovery with results I hadn’t previously achieved throughout my 35 years of veterinary experience. Trainers who have used the Spa on a regular basis have quickly established that there is a major cost benefit in terms of keeping horses competing right through their training period.”

Equine Advancement holds a GG Equine High-Speed Gallop Treadmill, which is the most robust, quietest, and lowest impact treadmill available on the global market.
Treadmill training is ever increasing in popularity throughout the equine industry, especially the thoroughbred racing industry.
GG Treadmill™ provides the ultimate training experience, operating at speeds of up to 42km/h and 6 degrees of incline.
When operating the treadmill, the control panel offers valuable information so that you can accurately track the workout of the equine athlete, keeping the training session safe and controlled.
Equine Advancement has installed an ECB Aqua Treadmill on-site for conditioning and rehabilitation horses. The ECB Aqua Treadmills have been designed and built on 18 years of ECB’s experience in equine hydrotherapy.
Without a rider on their backs, horses will work in a more natural and balanced outline. By introducing water, you are creating a controlled/non-concussive environment. The buoyancy of the water means you can ask the muscles and skeleton to work harder without any concussion whatsoever on the joints. This is vital if you are using the treadmill as part of a rehabilitation programme.
The action through the water means all axis are working together, in a uniformed way, without the weight of a rider. The variable water depths and inclines give the opportunity to target different muscle groups.
With the depth of the water, you have increased hydrostatic pressure which helps to increase circulation and if the water is refrigerated you will see a reduction of swelling/inflammation.
As well as the obvious fitness advantages the treadmill is ideal for:
- Topline and muscle development
- Rehabilitation of tendon/ligament injuries
- Degenerative joint issues
- Kissing spine
- Core strengthening
- Improving stride length
Cold Salt Hydrotherapy is used to treat and prevent a multitude of injuries. This drug-free therapy can be used for injury prevention, to increase mobility and to reduce inflammation in the limbs before, and after, competitive events and training.
The ECB spa solution is chilled to 2°C which takes out heat and inflammation. The solution, at this temperature, provides analgesic pain management and inhibits enzyme degeneration of tendons post-injury. The salt solution acts as a hypertonic poultice, reducing heat while having a natural healing effect on wounds. Water density increases with salt concentration, which in turn increases pressure to aid fluid dispersal.
Water aeration has a massaging effect on the leg and increases the dissolved oxygen content of the spa solution. The depth of the water is proportionate to the pressure exerted on the leg which aids fluid dispersal. Water depth is adjustable dependent upon the position and severity of the injury.
Temperature and chemical levels combine to eliminate the transfer of microbiological infection. As water temperature decreases, its ability to carry oxygen increases. Increased oxygenation through the introduction of aeration is believed to enhance natural defence systems, much like the use of a hyperbaric chamber for humans.
Cold salt hydrotherapy can be used to treat all forms of lower leg inflammation, removing the painful fluid and swelling associated with the injury.
Below are some injury examples:
- Hoof injuries
- Sore shins
- Shin splints
- Jar up
- Open wounds
- Skin infections
Equine Advancement has all of the latest products in equine therapy within its walls in order for you to achieve peak conditioning for your horse.
The Equissage Edge represents hundreds of hours of development and testing to bring you the most advanced Equissage system.
The Equissage EDGE CVT System is one of the safest forms of therapy available while also being highly effective, non-aggressive, drug-free and free of side effects. Clinical studies have shown that CVT improves blood flow, relieves muscle/joint pain, assists with healing and improves joint mobility.
The Equissage Edge has been proven to improve, treat and manage:
- Swollen joints, knees and tendons
- Respiratory problems
- Sore and cold backs
- Lactic acid
- Fibrinogen vertebrae problems
- Pre-racing conditions
- Pulled ligaments
- Sore shins
- Joint mobility
Red LED Light Therapy is the application of particular wavelengths of red and infrared light to bring about a desired healing response.
Red light therapy is highly beneficial for horses due to its ability to penetrate deep into muscles, tendons, ligaments and bones to promote a strong healing response. Predominantly red and infrared light wavelengths act to increase circulation, collagen production, ATP production, serotonin and melatonin production, lymphatic drainage, endorphin release and reduce inflammation.
All of these factors are important for healing and wellness. Below are some injury and illness examples:
- Back Pain
- All Joint Pain
- Cushing's Disease
- Infertility / Cycling
- Skin Conditions
- Laminitis (Founder)
- Navicular Disease
- All Muscular Pain
- Poll Tension
- Tendon Sprains
- Shin Soreness
- Performance Enhancement
- Stomach Ulcers
